As well as a photographer, Brian is an accomplished filmmaker. In fact it was an interest in the world of video and film that eventually led to the transition to spending a larger portion of his time focused on still imagery.

Taking on several projects a year, Brian is proud to be able to use his talents as a cinematographer, editor as well as producer/director to bring important messages to various groups of viewers.

Working mostly in the genre of documentary work, Brian enjoys the challenge of bringing a message alive and is always open to taking on new and exciting projects.

Some Highlights:

2002 & 2006: Digital Divide Data; Bridging the Divide Parts 1 & 2

Shot on location in Cambodia and Laos, these films helps bring the important story of one very special Non-Profit group alive. With the first installment shot on their one-year anniversary, and then a follow up film shot four years later, these films are used online and through traditional means to give viewers an inside perspective on what might otherwise be a difficult project to explain.

2004, 2005 & 2006: Community Now; Parts 1, 2 & 3

This ongoing project commisionned by Celebration 2010 and The Whistler Museum and Archives in preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Whistler explores the idea of the true community of Whistler. Each year focusing on a different demographic, these four short films aim to convey a sense of what the community of Whistler is all about, something that can easily be missed by your typical tourist passing through town.

2006: Whistler: An Olympic Story

This short film was commisioned by the Whistler Film Festival as part of their Whistler Stories Project. It explores the origins of the town and community of Whistler. It premiered at the opening gala of the 2006 Whistler Film Festival and will be shown again during the 2010 Olympic Games.
